About the symposium
The Nashville Native Plant Symposium celebrates the transformative power of native plants to restore ecological health and build resilient landscapes. This year’s theme, “Rewilding Our Urban and Suburban Landscape,” explores how we can reimagine our neighborhoods, parks, and home gardens as thriving habitat that supports biodiversity and strengthens our regional ecosystems.
Launched in 2025 at the Warner Park Nature Center, the inaugural Symposium brought together plant enthusiasts, conservation professionals, and community members united by a shared commitment to native landscapes. Building on that strong foundation, our second annual gathering continues to expand the conversation and deepen our regional impact.
Join leading experts and a passionate local community for an inspiring day of learning, connection, and practical action. We are honored to welcome keynote speaker Dwayne Estes, Executive Director of the Southeastern Grassland Institute, whose work advancing grassland conservation across the Southeast is reshaping how we understand and protect native ecosystems.
On August 22, 2026, we’ll gather at the Southeast Community Center for our second annual Symposium and discover how native plants can help cultivate a more resilient, sustainable future for Middle Tennessee.
